2.05 pm : Coroner court adjourns inquest for the day, resumes tomorrow with other pathologist and MACC officers.
2.01 pm : Pathologist Dr Khairul released as a witness in Teoh inquest.
1.35 pm : Gobind suggests snapped belt would remain on Teoh if he was held by several by the trouser’s belt rings rather than the belt.
1.20 pm : Dr Khairul says possible Teoh may have been still alive after he fell.
1.10 pm : Malik highlights marks found on Teoh’s hand above wristwatch strap, suggests someone tried to grab his hand when he fell.
1.00 pm : Malik wraps up questioning for Bar Council lawyer Rajpal Singh to take over.
12.57 pm : Dr Khairul also admits he does not know for a fact there was DNA contamination as he had suggested earlier.
12.55 pm : Dr Khairul admits he didn’t personally remove Teoh’s clothings during autopsy, adds gloves were used.
12.50 pm : Coroner’s court told Teoh’s right leg shorter than left leg but Dr Khairul did not measure the difference.
12:49pm Malik Imtiaz put forward a hypothesis; that Teoh was surrounded by individuals – a form of scare tactic – before he fell. When he fell someone grabbed his hand and snapped his wristwatch as the watch is yet to be found.
Malik: Is there a possibility that the scratches on Teoh’s wrist could have been caused by someone who held the wrist with the watch?
Khairul: Yes, there is a possibility
12.45 pm : Coroner’s court told Teoh’s anus was injured. Dr Khairul says very unlikely to have been penetrated before fall.
12.35 pm : Dr Khairul agrees with Malik’s suggestion that Teoh’s skull injury could result from beating before the fall.
12:25am: Dr Khairul says there is a possibility that the injuries on Teoh’s face could have been caused by beating.
12.10 pm : Dr Khairul saying it’s possible Teoh was unconscious when he fell.
12.05 pm : Dr Khairul saying it’s possible Teoh was starving based on autopsy when asked by Malik.
11:47am: To a question by Malik, Dr Khairul says that Teoh was conscious when he fell, based on spasm signs in his left hand. This indicates he had tried to grab something when he fell.
11.33am Court resumes. Khairul takes stand again. Malik Imtiaz Sarwar, representing Selangor government is questioning him.
10.50 am : Coroner’s court breaks for a short recess.
10.40 am : Gobind asks Dr Khairul to explain injuries on Teoh’s body.
10.30 am : The pathologist had noted in his report that Teoh fell feet first before collapsing on his side.
10.28 am : Dr Khairul says fracture in Teoh’s skull came from hiitting head on corner of nearby wall after he fell, to question from Gobind.
10.13 am : Selangor, Bar Council lawyers add their views pushing inquest to test Dr Khairul’s basis for concluding suicide as cause of death.
10:10 am: Dr Khairul complains to Coroner that Gobind is “playing with words”, after persistent questioning by Gobind. Gobind retorts that he asked straight questions five times but did not get straight answers.
10.08 am : Teoh family lawyer questions Dr Khairul why he did not independently interview MACC officers to determine possibility of murder.
10:00am: Gobind says that as Dr Khairul had not interviewed MACC officers, he was not privy to evidence that excluded the possibility of homicide. But Dr Khairul insists that there was no evidence of homicide.
9.56 am : Dr Khairul says he did not ask MACC officers to find out if Teoh was stressed from interrogation – it was police’s duty, not his.
9.54 am : Dr Khairul was aware Teoh was to register marriage the day after MACC interrogation but unaware fiancee was 2 months pregnant.
9.52 am : Dr Khairul says he quizzed Teoh’s elder brother, younger sister & fiancee on psychological background – not prone to suicide.
09:50 am: Gobind asks Dr Khairul why he did not question MACC officers. Dr Khairul responded that it was not his job and he relied on information from the police.
09:40 am: Dr Khairul says he questioned three of Teoh’s family members – brother, younger sister and fiance – to determine if Teoh had any psychological, medical, drug or smoking problem. The family members had told him that Teoh did not have any of those problems.
09:31 am: Dr Khairul agrees with Gobind’s suggestion that a psychological background check on Teoh was important to determine if the cause of death was suicide.

09.00 : Coroner’s court resumes with pathologist Dr Khairul Azman Ibrahim to be questioned on his suicide theory given last week.
The inquest into the death of Teoh Beng Hock enters its ninth day.
Teoh, 30, who was political secretary to Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah, was found dead on July 16 on the fifth floor corridor of Plaza Masalam, after giving a statement in an investigation into alleged abuse of state government funds.
The Coroner is Azmil Mustapha Abas and Tan Hock Chuan is the lawyer appointed by the Government to assist the Coroner.
Gobind Singh Deo is holding a watching brief for Teoh’s family while Malik Imtiaz Sarwar is representing the Selangor government.
